Win2k SP1 Problems still?? (Firewalls)

I'm sorry if this was already posted but...

Does anyone know if I should install Win 2k SP1 if I run a personal firewall?
I remember hearing that installing SP1 causes disabling of personal firewalls (mainly, ZoneAlarm, which I use). Can anyone shend any light for me? I installed it previously (2 months ago, but my system crashed shortly after that and I just got around to re-installing 2K. Should I do the service pack and all the "Critical updates??"

Yes you can. Most of the personal Firewall vendors out there already have patches. Check out these two articles. They shoulh shed some light for you:
