Win2k setup freezes.

I am setting up Win2k on a MSI Pro2a, my problem is I get these freezes of my mouse and keyboard every five seconds or so which lasts only a second. This happens after the first reboot. Is this the motherboard? I have done several 2k install on my other machine and all was fine before.

I had that problem in the past with windows 98, I changed my RAM, and the problem disappear. So It coulb be a RAM problem.

Definatly a hardware problem
make sure you are not overclocking at all
have your ram set at higher settings than they spec

try even disabling L2 cache for the setup.

Fixed it, was installing from a external cdrom and I changed the parallel port mode from standard to ECP/EPP in the bios.
