Win2K Server Supported Apps

IF software is supported by Windows 2000 operating system, then should it also run on Windows 2000 Server?

Also, should hardware ok with Windows 2000 be supported by W2K Server?

Basically yes all software that runs on w2k pro would also run on the server version. The only thing being some "utility" software that may require the server version. Examples being Diskkeeper, Partition magic and some virus scanners etc etc...

Hardware wise yes they are totally compatible and server can support more processors and memory than the pro.

I don't believe APM is supported on any server version of 2000, but it is supported on Win2k Pro. I don't think that means you can't use a system board with APM, just won't have the ability to use its features.
