Win2K sees my IDE CD drives as SCSI

Please help me figure this out. I have tried uninstalling the drives and trouble shooting in 2K but they keep coming up as SCSI drives.

They problem is that they dont work. It says that the drivers aren't loaded for them. I tried reinstalling drivers and get the same thing. It started when I loaded DirectCD from Adaptec. I uninstalled that too but no go. I can reformat if I have to because I don't have much installed now but I want to find a work around if possible.

what version of the via drivers did you install? if you installed like 4.28 i think they have an older ide driver. install the newest ones or just use the w2k sp2 default ones (which i use).
