win2k sblive/audio problem

I just did a fresh install of win2k on my computer...everything seems to be working right but this: I installed the updated drivers on the creative site for my sblive platinum...and then bad things happened. Right now I'm getting driver install errors such as with Multimedia Audio Controller (code 28) and at the upgrade driver screen the error message for the sblive is "The data is invalid". This system worked perfectly before this, so I'm kinda confused....

Currently running:
Athlon 1.2 gig socket a
MSI k7T turbo
2 30 gigs raid (striped)
256 pc133
burner
dvd-rom
sblive platinum
nic
modem

any ideas?

try uninstalling the card in device manager, and reinstallign it .. you could also try moving it to another pci slot .. if that doesnt work you can always try reinstalling 2k again ..

Have you not got Liveware 3.0 for w2k lurking anywhere? If you have try installing that, f you haven't I think Creative have taken Liveware off their site...the gits

I'll try moving it to a different slot...cuz I tried the whole uninstall thing and that didn't work...liveware didn't work either when I tried it...
