I was reading one of the threads on the board a while ago, and someone mentioned a program that would allow you hack the registry, to set DMA and such. If someone could point me in the right direction, it would be very appreciated.

No, not regedit, It was a downloadable program that made it real simple to edit the registry by checking boxes and such.
