Anyone know of a site that has some benchmarks on what counters should be in Win2k? I've got to admit, analyzing performance has got to be one of my weakspots. I know the Processor Queue length primarily shouldn't be above 2, but other than that I'm clueless. Any help?!?

Your Windows 2000 Professional computer is not performing optimally. The computer displays the following performance counters:
Memory: Pages/Sec ? 80
Processor: % Utilization ? 90
Physical Disk: % Disk Time ? 85
System: Processor Queue Length ? 3

Which of the following upgrades would overcome this lack of performance?
a. Upgrading the processor
b. Adding a second processor
c. Adding a larger hard drive
d. Adding a faster hard drive
e. Upgrading the amount of memory

How many of those are you allowed to choose?

More RAM would be a good idea (and would reduce hard drive usage due to heavy swap file usage), a faster processor would reduce CPU usage percentage, and a faster hard drive wouldn't be a bad idea either.

I'd choose A & E if you got to choose 2.

it would decrease the amount of swap file usage (i'm going to try to take 70-210 today ;))
