i noticed my computer was running a bit slower than normal today.. so i opened up task manager and my CPU usage is staying at 100% permanently...i can close all current applications and this stays at 100%... i've looked over the processes running and have even shut down the ones that i can.. and it still doesnt help.. what would make the "system" process be hitting 90-99% constantly?

i tried doing that when i first noticed this and it didnt help... just tried again and i closed every process that i was able to and still nothing... cpu usage 100%... if it was one of the processes sucking up all the cpu cycles.. then wouldnt they show a large percent use? the only process showing massive use (meaning over like 1-3%) is the system process... and it has 99% almost always

well i managed to get lucky and figure out the problem.. i was nosing around the system information menus and happened to look in the Printer/Jobs area and low and behold there was two unfinished print jobs there... how in the world they got there and why they didnt print... i have no idea... possibly a roommate was trying to print something on my computer earlier... arghhh! 5 hours of work just to have it be this simple ;)

haha, that's weird
especially to have them there after you restarted the computer
