hello all,

I have a win2k pro machine with two nic's and running IIS5.0

nic #1 goes directly to the cable mode (24.x.x.x)

nic #2 goes to a 10/100 switch for my internal LAN pc's (192.168.0.1)

this machine is running my webs server and the ftp server.

couple of days ago, this machine just had 1 nic and i was running my webserver and the ftp server without any problems.

then, i put nic #2 in the machine and boom!... the webserver no longer works but the FTP SERVER works.

what i mean by the webserver not working is, externally, people cannot access my website

http://24.x.x.x DOES NOT work.

but, people can ftp to my box fine.

what is wrong?

i've tried many settings in IIS but to no avail.

i'm just running windows2000 PRO(NO SERVICE packs)

i also run a tzo client which basically is a DNS re-director bcoz i have my premiere domain called : goradia.com

this thing is driving me crazy.....

any help would be appreciated.thank you

It's been a VERY long time, but I think there's something in the setup of IIS that you have to tell it to listen on each IP address.

Can you access the webserver from inside via the 192.168.0.1 address?

Are the www services still running?

If you are also running proxy, you need to tell it you want to redirect HTTP incoming and tell it a web server on this machine.
