Win2k Pro vs. Server vs. Advanced Server

Chris: thx for the ram...
Pro...GREAT workstation...you can run a niftly little web server and FTP
Server (never used this one)... Extended FTP and Web capabilities, nice, but still no terminal services (I think)
Advanced server...RECOMMENDED!!!!!!! I use it...terminal services rocks and you can assign ip's to your lan if you have one...also create a DNS server that will allow you to contol how you can access the computers on your lan...
I am logged into terminal services right now on my home computer from work...if you get this I suggest playing with the stuff you can find here. That way you dont have to always remember your new ip if it isnt static...

Hey cool, I thought for sur eyou wouldn't receive the RAM til friday. USPS isn't that slow for me like others have been complaining.

Anyways, I have 3 computers which i'm planning on networking together at home, so I may just mess around to see what all works best. If I used Advanced server on my main server in my network, is it recommended to have the same on my other 2, or is Pro fine, or for that matter, Win98?

Thanks.

The one major diff between Server and Advanced Server is that AS has the ability to do server clustering and load balancing built in. Other than that, they are really basically the same.
