Win2k Pro sees 160gig as 128gig?

What would cause this to happen? Win2k machine is running on newer MSI MB with NForce2 chipset, tried 2 dif 160gig drives both seen at 128 gig and not their "real" 148gig. Toss them into a WinXP machine and there's n/p

I don't know about your mobo but seems the hardware or software doesn't support 48-bit LBA addressing. The bios has to support this, the bus that the hdd uses must support it, the chipset and the OS has to support it.
