Is there any performance advantage to running Adv Server, rather than Pro at home???

I only ask because I have them both and plan on doing some home networking soon. I know that Win2K Pro will work just fine but was curious as to what Adv Server would do (if anything)

The only performance advantage you might get from using Advanced Server(or Server) over Win2K Pro would be if you have more than 2 processors or more than 4GB of memory in your machine. Your AnandTech System Rig info says this is not the case. You'll actually see a performance disadvantage to using a Server version of Win2K due to the Server versions being less performance tuned for running local applications than Win2K Pro.

I had horror experience with Win2K Ad. Server where i have to reinstall everyday!!

If your Active Directory isn't setup properly, win2K will continuous looping in the preparing networking connection window.
