Win2k Pro: How to make computer automatically turn off?

Hi there...

I just put 2k Pro on a computer that has always run 98SE and of course when the computer is told to shut down, it is supposed to turn itself off, as it did in 98SE. The problem is, it isn't doing this in Windows 2000 Professional. How can I make it power down when I tell it to shut down as it was doing in 98SE?

If Win2K is giving you the "It is now safe to shutdown" screen, go to Control Panel, Power Options, APM tab, and then check Enable APM.
