Both appear in POST but in windows only my burner (D:\) appears and the regular CDROM (E:\) doesn't. any ideas?

Master/slave configured properly?
No bent pins?
Power?
Cable seated correctly?
Try switching IDE channels (and switching the CDROM with the burner on the cable).

Smack the MB . . . (well, if all else fails). 😀

Hey...well it used to work in WXP but after i formatted and changed HD it doesn't anymore. Altho once i messed with the cables and it worked for a bit... tomorrow I'm gonna change my HD ATA cable so while I'm down there I think I'll switch 'em around...

thx! 🙂

(oh and i'll slap the mobo if all else fails 😀 )
