Win2K / Nvidia drivers? Help please.

I am running a Riva TNT on Win2k Pro with SP1 and DX8. The drivers that the Windows install found are the 5 series drivers and they seem pretty stable but most games have issues with anything less than the 6 series Nvidia reference drivers. The problem is I downloaded the 6.31 official reference drivers for Win2k from www.nvidia.com and they won't run. It boots to windows in VGA mode and when I select the display icon in control panel it causes a physical memory dump saying referencing vga.dll. I had to reinstall the original windows default drivers to get it to work again. Does anyone know of a driver set that accually works for Win2k?

Thanks for any help you may provide,

The 6.31 drivers do work with W2K. My guess is that they did not install very well over the old drivers. Some guides recommend that you completely uninstall the old driver set before installing a new one. You can find some info on how to do this at http://tweak3d.net

You can install the older Detonator 2 drivers. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND INSTALLING THE DETONATOR 3 DRIVERS WITH A TNT2 OR OLDER CARD!!! They actually hinder performance than the D2 drivers. If you cannot find them, try this link Windows Detonator 2 Drivers from Nvidia.

Let me know if you have any problems.
