Win2k networking question

There r 10 comps+1 server. Server runs on Win2k server. 7 comps on win2kpro, rest 3 on win98se. Now only on these win2kpro machines when they try to access the network resources an error is generated randomly.."No logon servers available to validate ur request" this continues for anything betw. 5min. to 45min. & then everything runs fine. This prob. does not accur on the win98 machines... any idea...i'm desperate....server uses a static ip & all clients use dynamic ip...also once on the network they never go off during that session...

Thanks a lot in advance...

Did you configre the dhcp service yourself? did you enter a big enough scope for the IP addresses? This is probably not the problem, but I encountered a similar problem the other day. When one logs off, 5-45 minutes later, you have a free IP and can log in.
