I'm trying to netowrk a Win98 and a Win2k machine over a hub. I have both workgroups set to the same name nad I also have file and print sharing enabled. I also have TCP/IP installed on both machines but I still can't connect both PC's.

Does anyone know how to connect Wink2 machines?

Are the IPs configured correctly? Meaning for example, your Win2K system has the IP 192.168.0.1 and then your 98 system has the IP of 192.168.0.2? Also go into the command prompt and see if you can ping the other computer.

Well... ofcourse until right now the only problem is receiving files from icq ! thats the only problem i couldnt solve. If you know the answer pls tell me :p thanks

Make an account on your Win2K machine for your 98 machine to connect to. For instance, when windows loads on your 98 machine and the login screen pops up...that name is the name you should make an account for on your Win2K machine.
