Win2k locks up on my system

I try to install Win2k professional, mid way thru the hardware detection thing, it says "HARDWARE MALFUNCTION, check with admin" k... well I KNOW I have a buggy K7 mobo, but works on my peeps K6 2 which is buggier, so what do I do???
