I am looking for the BEST Windows 2000 compatible mice and keyboards. I have come to find out that neither my mouse nor my keyboard are Win2k certified...and both are Microsoft products.

I would prefer USB devices, but that is not really necessary.

I keep getting Event ID 26 errors, and these seem to relate to the i8042prt.sys DLL. Any ideas?

Thanks,

Mark

i've had an intellimouse explorer and natural pro for about 6 months now, and i'd say they are great products . You have to get the new intellipoint and intellikey for them though, the ones on the CDs dont work in win2k

Actually, I don't believe that you even need to install anything for Microsoft hardware in Win2k. I have an 'Internet keyboard'; the extra buttons on it work, but I never installed additional software.
