hey, i currently have win2k installed on an NTFS partition, is it possible to include win98 on that same partition ? That partition is 2.5gb large, and 1.5gb is free, is that enough for win98?

will installing win98 after win2k affect anything? because i heard you were supposed to do win98 and then win2k.

steps for this process would be appreciated thanks. (dunno how to format a NTFS partition)

hmm how would i go about fixing that?.. i dont mind reformatting my c:\ (OS drive), but i dont want to format my D and E drive , which are both NTFS, but i dont want to use it anymore.

Is C: NTFS and where you want to install Win98?

If so, you might be in good shape.

Make an emergency repair floppy in Win2K with the backup tool (in accessories). Reboot and install Win98 from the CD. Use "setup /ntldr". This *should* add Win98 to a boot menu that already has Win2K. Continue with the WIn98 install.

If and only if Win98 did not add itself to a boot menu and you can no longer get into Win2k, boot with the Win2K CD and repair the boot sector with the repair floppy you made.
