Win2k Installation Problem

I'm currently running Windows 98 SE and have had problems installing Win2k. When I begin the installation, some files are copied and everything goes OK. Once the computer needs to reboot and it runs ScanDisk (in DOS) on my hard drive, the problem begins. ScanDisk finds an unrepairable error on my C drive and it doesnt let me continue with the installation. Keep in mind that it has already copied some files to my computer to who knows where so I need to format and reinstall Windows 98 again. I have scanned the drive for viruses and have formatted it several times but that hasn't solved the problem. BTW, I'm using a 10GB HD which is partitioned into two parts, a 3GB drive (my C drive) and a 7GB drive (my D drive).

Thanks for any help
