Win2k Installation help

i just got a Adaptec 19160 scsi card and a Quantum atlas 10k hdd...and im trying to install win2k but a little after i try to install it (before it starts the actual copying of files) i get a blue screen and it says UNEXPECTED KERNEL MODE TRAP

any ideaS?

Hey heat! I've never seen that error, But make sure you hit F6 when is says too during the start up and load the correct drivers for you card :)

not sure exactly when, but during install, it'll ask you if you need to copy drivers from another disk for mass storage, there you need to pop in the setup disk provided by Adaptec so that windows knows to copy the correct drivers for that controller card.

ok i did F6 and i put in the adaptec disk with the drivers, and it found the ADAPTEC ULTRA 160 (NT4.0) driver...then after 10 seconds or so...i got that blue screen again with the same error

Heat, I have no idea what is going on. I went through the EXACT same thing last night with my Adaptec 19160 and a Plextor CDR..you have to make sure to load the 160 drivers ..hit F6 even before it asks if you want to load updated drivers...it worked for me and I can install W2K off the plextor CD to my Seagate SCSI drive...works like a champ. Make sure to remove ALL PCI cards from the system except for your video and SCSI card..also try switching PCI slots for your scsi card..that may help
