win2k installation = blank screen

🙁 here is when it happens, i boot to win2k cd press enter to boot from cd and start setup, i get the blue setup screen and on the bottom it's copying or extracting files needed for setup it goes so far and my monitor shuts off. I need help please....anybody

I think this is due to the fact that when windows is copying th drivers the Monitor is not detected or The video card is not detected
or there is some Conflict elsewhere in thee system...
Try copying the files off to your Harddisk and run the setup (doesntwork)
Try getting the latest BIOS drivers(Doesntwork)
Go to the MS WIN2K compatibility List Website and check your Hardware!
Try to upgrade the OS with Win98 instead of Booting directly from the CD!

I had a problem where i installed 2000 and it was going black but it was due to the fact that the agp was for my via chipset was not supported. It is now... but not then.
