I'm not really sure what is causing this to occur, but, whenever I try and run an install of Windows 2000 Professional on my new rig:
Abit KT7A
1.133 AMD Athlon 266 FSB
32MB Leadtek Geforce2 GTS
512MB Crucial PC133 SDRAM
10GB Western Digital Hard Drive (Primary Master)
Toshiba 16x DVD-ROM (Secondary Master)
(and no other devices)
Right after setup starts and loads it's various drivers (and before partition creation), I get this weird error that tells me something along the lines of:
(some kind of gibberish)
If this is your first time seeing this error, try restarting your computer.
If not, try installing any drivers for new hardware you may have or try removing any new hardware, reinstalling old hardware.

I can post an exact transcription of the error message if anyone needs it.

I got this message once before when I decreased the RAM on another Win2K machine, but I have no clue what would be causing it here. If anyone has any thoughts, they would be much appreciated.

Thanks.
