Win2K i8042prt.sys help.

Hi,

Can anyone help me as I am looking for a newer version of my i8042prt.sys.
My version (5.0.2192.1) is giving me fits as I try to run FS2000 in Windows 2000. On my error log I get event id 26 repeatedly.

I just installed a new Win2K compatible mouse and keyboard using USB, but I don't think thats the problem.

i8042prt.sys can be found in WINNT\SYSTEM32\DRIVERS

If you can, please send a copy of your newer versions to mcfox@ados.com...maybe I'll be able to resolve my problems.

i8042prt.sys is the PS/2 port driver. That version you have there is the final. You have some problem with the keyboard and/or mouse?
