Win2k HD consistency?

I recently installed Win2k Professional on a system that already had Windows 98 SE, thus creating a dual-boot. Every so often, when launching Win2k, I get a message stating that my hard drive must be checking for consistency. I installed Win2k on the same partition as Win98, which is FAT32 and my only partition. Does anyone have any ideas why this is happening? Thanks

Yeah, more than likely the win98 modified the recycle bin. Thier formats are not fully compatible between the two.

Not only that, but sometimes Win98 damages some of the partition information. Win98 does not make use of it, but Win2K does. The consistency check usually fixes that.

Have you installed Win2K SP1? That fixed my recycle bin problems.
