This is the system config:
Celeron 300@450
Asus slocket
Asus P3v4x
Creative OEM TnT2 Ultra
Sony 6x DVD
SB Live! Value
OEM NIC

The system is running Win2k (uh duh!) and sometimes on the first start up (cold boot), win2k would hang without the login screen just the blank blue background. Ctrl + Alt + Delete has no effect whatsoever. Restarting fixes it temporarily. Anyone have a clue? This is kinda weird since this computer is not use for anything except Photo editing mainly.

It could be the chip is starting to fail from being overclocked. What voltage are you at?

No, it's not the processor. I had the same problem before I oc'ed my duron to 950. It resulted from installing 2 game demos. Mind rover and airfix dogfighter. After installing those demos, and having them lock up my system, it hangs on the blank blue screen also. I think a format is the only choice I have to fix it. I doubt reinstalling win2k will help unless I format. I have no clue why those games would have done it, but they were the cause. Maybe some invalid registry keys?
