OK, so I recently hooked up dual ViewSonic GS-810 21" Monitors to my GeForce 2MX with 64megs of RAM (Win2K, 23.11 drivers). Since I have, I've noticed that the text on the secondary monitor is not as clear, and focused as the Primary. I did a lot of testing:
Swapped the Video Cables
Matched the settings on the Monitors
Tried various color depths
Tried various resolutions
Tried various Refresh rates.
I can make the image problem occur on BOTH monitors (separately of course), so its not that. What I've narrowed it down to is the 2nd VGA on the video card. I never had this issue before with my 2 17's though. What I think is the problem is this. Under the "Monitor Tab" it shows "ViewSonic GS-810" This is of course the monitor plugged into the primary VGA out (VGA1) However, if I go into the TwinView tab, and select the secondary Monitor, and then go to "Display Properties" it shows "Plug and Play Monitor" this is on the VGA2. I cannot figure out how to change this field! I've tried:
Detect Displays
Swapping the Primary Monitor to be the one on the VGA2 port, I then checked and it was still the same. Under my Device Manager it only lists the one Monitor. Does anyone know how to get Win2K or the GeForce drivers to allow me to change the type of Monitor it thinks is on the secondary port? Thank you.
