Win2k & G400 mAx

I jsut got my G400 Max and am trying to install it in win2k. It goes fine when I install the drivers. And everything is good until I reboot the system. Then it goes to 800x600@16 colors everytime. It shows no conflict and I am getting the same thing until I uninstall it and reinstall the drivers. I have tried using the 5.30 drivers and the 5.12 and get the same thing.
I have also updated the BIOS on my motherboard to no avail. I am running it in AGP4x mode but I get the same in any mopdem I try. Also, when it goes to 16 colors not only does this happen but the Powerdesk software dissapears from the display properties sheet. Any suggestions? Here are my system specs.

I don't know what the problem is but I will be installing W2k soon so I'll report back. Are you sure you are using the Windows2000 drivers and not Win9x by mistake? BTW, leave it at AGP 2x- there is no performance difference really.

Mine runs flawlessly under W2K with AGPx4 enabled. Im using the certified drivers (5.14), as they seem to be the quickest for me. Make sure there is an IRQ assigned to vga in your bios. Also try setting agp apperture size to 256. Make sure there is no card in pci slot 1 (first under your agp).
