Start by confessing I am obsessed with Diablo 2, and it seems my quest to run this game in D3d on Win2k without any hangs or problems may never be fulfilled. My latest adversary has been the blue screen of death which taunts me with the following mssg:
***STOP: 0x000000D1 (0x005EED70, 0x00000002, 0x00000000, 0x005EED70)
DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL
Now for my system info (guess I should make rig profile but oh well):
Hardware:
MSI-K7T Pro w/ 700 Mhz T'bird, 128MB Ram (Micron), Geforce2 MX, Linksys NIC, SB X-Gamer Live, 2 IDE HD (Maxtor and WD), 1 IDE Cd-Rom (Teac..and is rarely used), 1 IDE Cd-RW (HP-8100i)
Software:
Win 2k w/SP1 and all other updates, microsoft hotfix for AGP, latest VIA drivers, largpage minimum registry fix, latest BIOS, latest drivers for ALL peripherals, DX8a
I am running in Standard PC mode since I initially thought my problems may be due to the infamous Win2K ACPI IRQ steering. Alas, now I am really considering just going back to Win 98 / NT 4.x dual boot even though I enjoy many of the features of Win2k.
TIA for your assistance
