Hi there. I'm trying to share a folder around a Win2k office. It work on every computer but one. That computer simply says "Access Denied" when trying to read it. I try to add the person's username to permissions ("Everyone" is already permitted to use the folder, but that's not good enough for this one computer apparently), I get the message described above.

Any thoughts?

Thanks in advance.

edit: Looks like it was just a problem with the security permissions on the local computer. The folder was a subfolder of an entire drive that was already shared, and I needed to set the option "allow permissions from parent objects to propagate downward".

You can do it without allowing propagation - in case you don't want to allow access to the parent directories - as long as you use network addressing for the shared directory. First, share the directory, which will give it a network share address, and then assign security permissions to everyone or whomever.
