If I converted my fat32 partitions to ntfs when I installed Win2k, Is it possible to convert ntfs back to fat32?

i *think* software such as partition magic will allow you to do this...but you might want to double check that.

yes you can go back to fat32 from ntfs. using a win98 boot disk or a 3rd party partition program.

Partition Magic will do it but why in the world would you want to ???
2000 will read Fat or NTFS and 9x would only be used, by a sane person, for the few crappy games that might not work so well in 2000.

hold up...do you want to SAVE your data while down-converting? cause if so, then partition magic (as i said above) is probably your best choice

if you're going to reformat and don't care about saving everything, then it's VERY easy to go back to fat32.

enlighten us, please!

or here's an easy option:
create a new fat32 partition
copy your files that you want to keep to the fat32 partition
erase your ntfs partition
create a new fat32 in it's place

why would you want to NOT run NTFS????
in my opinion that's one of the best things about NT/2K (not the file system itself, but what it allows you to do 🙂 )
