Win2k equivalent to FDISK?

I need to wipe my Win2k and start over. I have it installed on a Maxtor HD. The MaxBlast 3.5 startup disk that came with it locks up so I can't use that utility. I wanted to find out if there's any other way I can delete my current partition and start over clean.

How exactly do you do this? I've booted from the CD but the only options I get are to repair Win2k or install. Thanks

When you select to install W2k at the "blue screen" section you will be promted next as to which partition you wanted to install it in. Also you can choose to delete and create new partitions via sort of a menu system. Read the instructions as to which keys to press as they can be a bit confusing at start but quite easy to understand.

Boot from a Win2k CD and select repait option then console repair and you will be at a command prompt. Type in diskpart and the Win2k disk partition utiltiy will come up. Its pretty straight forward and more easy to understand than fdisk. To format just type in the following command in the console. Format C:/ fs:ntfs or fs:fat32 you get the idea.
