win2k drivers for amd athlon?

where can I find the driver for win2k for an amd athlon?

Wendy,
To my knowledge, there are no such things as drivers for amd athlon for win2k. I'm running win2k on an athlon system as we speak and it doesn't require any driver any more than an Intel Pentium 3 requires drivers from win2k. The cpu is your raw processing power. You can stick any operating system on a *any* cpu type. It's like asking what type of body fits this engine I have. You can put almost any car body on almost any type of engine you have. Hope this helps.

thanks for the help, I was just going by what I read in the windows2k mag. I'm getting my first computer in 12 years,(I know, may as well have never had one), and I purchased the OS before the computer. I had several friends tell me I couldn't run windows2k on my new athlon, so I needed to know if I had to also buy win98 and do a dualboot. thanks again for the info.
