Win2K drivers fior TNT2 Ultra??

This is driving me nuts people. I have Win2K w\sp2 installed. If I use the default Win2K drivers for my TNT2 Ultra everything runs great with no problems except Baldursgate 2, it's chopping and laggs real bad. So I install the newest drivers from Nvidia (12.41 I think) and they make my system freeze up every 10 minutes or so. I tried different versions of the drivers but none seem to work right. Any suggestions?
I know many people have these cards and run Win2K, so what are you all using?????? Thanks

The newer Nvidia's Detonator drivers don't seem to work well with the older TNT 2 cards... Try and find some older drivers like 3.8... I used the driver off of my Geforce 2 ultra cd for my TNT2 Ultra card.

I think the choppy video comes from to slow of a gpu not the drivers

But it runs perfect in 98. Even runs good during the time the system don't freeze in Win2K. I've tried many different versions of the drivers, can't find any that are stable. Guess I'll have to keep looking.

I dad is using the det 12.40 drivers from nvida just fine, latest nvidia bios on a Diamond Viper v770 agp

Which card do you have? Does it only crash in the windows environment? if so, I ran into the same problem before. Try disabling the "fade effect" under windows and force 2x agp in the bios would help.

Keep us posted.

Thanks for the help. Its a Creative TNT2 Ultra. It's very annoying, it works for some games and apps but not with others. Different versions of the drivers work with different things.

I had the exact same problem. I don't know about the solution you will want to do, but I had a LAN party to go to. I formatted and reinstalled using the 6.50 drivers. Rock solid. 12.41 messed it up so bad I never knew when it was going to lock up. Getting another vid card soon, but the 6.50 drivers are all that I am going to use until then.

I had SP2 also. I forget where they are but there are drivers on NVidia's website. The older version of the detonators. They are zipped up, and they won't auto-install like the new set, but changing drivers isn't really an issue.

Thanks igiveup, I installed the drivers and have had no problems so far. Tried out all the games. Thanks again.

I use the 7.58's on my V770ultra, 12.41's gave me random lockups too, though not as frequently as you're describing.
