Win2K doesn't turn-off my computer...

Hi,
Unfortunatelly after uninstalling a couple of programs, my Win2k doesn't turn-off my computer as used to do when I shuted it down.
I've tried to reinstall Win2k but the problem persisted (I didn't formated the hard disk before reinstalling Win2k).
I'm sure the problem isn't in my computer because I have a copy of WinME in the same computer and it turns off my computer normally.
Could someone tell me how to fix it? (I wouldn't like to format my hard disk because I would have to reinstall all my programs and that would certainly be a "pain&quot😉.
Any help you could give me will be very appreciated.
Peter

We need a little more information. What programs have you installed? Exactly what have you done to your system since this problem started happening? Even things you deem insignificant may hold clues so tell us everything. Lastly, look in Device Manager under Computer to find out what type of HAL you have. Most likely it will be Standard PC or ACPI. We need a little more to help you solve this.
