Win2k doesn't like my modem

..and won't let me load the drivers. It's a Creative Labs Modem Blaster/PCI and, no matter how I try and get around it, it won't load the drivers. It lists the modem as an HCF 56k PCI modem which I'm assuming is the OS' default.

Anybody else have this happen or know why it's happening?

You may try taking out the modem. Going into Safe Mode (F8) during boot on most computers and deleting any modems shown. Install the drivers into windows and then shut down. Install the modem again and see if windows recognizes the drivers during plug and play.

Thanks, I'll try that. It seems to work with no problems - just strange how it refuses to load the CL's drivers.
