Win2K & Digital Out Problems??

Shanteli

Senior member
I just upgraded to Win2K from 98SE and I no longer can get a Digital out signal from my sound card when playing a DVD

Here is my setup:
Guillemot Maxi Sound Fortissimo Sound Card (newest drivers)
Windows 2000 Pro w/SP1
PowerDVD 2.55
Pioneer DVD-ROM DVD-105S
P-III 700
128MB PC100 Micron SDRAM

I have also tried using Yamaha's drivers but same they don't work either. PowerDVD just doesn't detect the SPDIF output anymore.

Has anyone else run into this??

Yup thats what I hear, least you can't get dolbydigital out with a sblive in win2k. Well the output works and I get sound over it but it isn't dd, i have to watch moives in prologic.

Yeah Pro Logic is the best that my receiver can pump out....at least my mp3s are still "digital" as they get to my receiver through the optical line
