win2k: damaged some file ... now video won't work ...

well, that's what I'm guessing ...

my computer was freezing very often, after playing a video (win2k) ... well, I had to "reset" it ... when it starts up ..it of course has damaged files ... but everything was ok, until last freeze ... it always says "error code 10: device cannot start" on my video card ... and gives me 800x600 16 colors 🙁 .. I tried reinstalling drivers - nothing ... it does find video card, but when I restart it - same error ...

p.s. I have another win2k and win98 there - and they work fine with video ...

so .. any solution ?

thx
