Win2k Crashes with Error "Hal.dll"

Hi,

System:

Athlon 750mhz
128 SDRAM PC133
Win2k Pro

For some reason, Win2k Pro crashes with the error "Hal.dll." I set it to bring up the blue screen whenever it crashes. This always happens when I'm transferings a lot of files via ftp or DCC. I have a DSL connection. Please post if you have any idea what's causing Win2k's "hal.dll" fault error. Thanks.
