Win2K: Compatiblity Utility?

I tought I read about a utility in the Windows 2000 disk that make win2k more "compatible" by running a certain program differently...
Like if a game detected win2k/NT it wouldn't play. So the utility would prevent taht game from detecting that it is in NT.

Where, and how can I get this program? I have the disk but what am I looking for?

I think you mean APCOMPAT.EXE in the \SUPPORT directory on the W2K install CD.

There's an Application Compatibility Toolkit posted here on the MSDN site. I thought the one on the developers' site might be more advanced, or perhaps it includes a couple of other utilities.

Regards,
Jim
