just boot off the cd. Win2k doesn't have DOS.

or if you cant boot from the cd, go to the directory X:\Bootdisk\ and run the makeboot program

Install an original DOS OS on a clean partition with its own directory and then install Win2K on a different partition or directory.

You may have to modify the boot.ini after Win2K is installed to allow an option to the DOS partition/files

Are you trying to get up in pure DOS or just boot a Win2K without using the OS itself.

My suggestion will allows you to get into DOS (16bit) by not having a Win2K core loaded.
