I get this error message, or something like that when i play any type of game on the web, or any type of normal fps, rpg, anything really. It totally freezes my system and my sound and makes me restart. Please, could somebody help me out? It's driving me nuts!

Sounds like you have a driver problem (or your CPU is unstable). Try tinkering with your settings/drivers to see if you can get your games to run reliably.

Could it be that i am running 6.31 nvidia drivers instead of the detonator 7.17 ones designed for Directx8?

Also, why would a memory dump be a problem with my cpu? just curious really, cause i have no idea why it is showing this.

thanks a bunch.

I don't ever remember it happening with dx7, and yeah i've got a d600 @ 1000. But the more and more i think about it, i'm thinking it's dx8. Argh! thanks tho.

While i'm on this topic, anyone know the best setting's for my memory on a kt7 raid? i have some pc100 toshiba cas2 ram, and i was wondering actually, how do i set the ram to say 133 or 125 cas2 or cas3? not really sure how to do that? if that's possible? thanks a bunch.

You can disable the memory dump function. It's usless for most home users.
Open the System Properties>Advanced>Startup and Recovery. Change the "Write
debugging info" box to say "none".

See if you the system is stable when not overclocked. If the problem persists then just dump DX8 and go back to DX7. Even if you turn off the memory dump, it won't resolve your crashing problem.
