Win2k automatic log-in

Rifter

Ok, when i installed win2k i set it to autologin the admin, then i changed the name on the admin account, i thought it would be bright enugh to chage it to autologin the name of the new account, but it wasnt, how do i change it to autologin the new account now? i cant find the place to set this anywhere.

I use tweak UI to adjust my auto-logon settings.

You have to download it from microsoft.com, just search for it.

It's in the users part of control panel I think. There's a checkbox for something like "Users must enter a password to login". Checking it will make it prompt for an autologin username/password.

sounds like a policy issue...
there is a setting to change in your local group policy for this....

loan up the mmc, add the snap-in for the local group policy --> computer configuration --> windows settings --> security settings --> local policies --> security options --> then under the policy descriptions there should be one that says "Disable CTL-ALT-DEL requirement for logon". You should be able to just configure the setting as you like.
