win2k: application installation problem.

hi,

i just installed a win2k on a bew harddrive. when i try to install my cd burner program, winoncd, suddenly the window installer crashed. then i try to run the installation program again, i keep on getting error 1500(the error that tells me there were previous installation running, and i can't run installation again unless the previous incompleted installation is completed). i tried to reboot my computer then run the installation program again, but i'm getting the same error message. i was wondering where does window installer keep information on the installing programs? i want to delete all the incomplete installation record then run a new installation again.. thx!

Try deleting all the files from C:\WINNT\Temp directory to see if that helps.

hi,

i tried deleting all the files in \winnt\tem, \document and setting\admin\local setting\temp and clear everything in windows directory that has to do with winoncd and installation.. still no go.. anymore ideas?
