Win2K - anything special to do?

Hi all,

I will be replacing my backup rig - going from a P3/Asus P3B-F to a P4/Abit IS7. I will be going for the 2.4 P4 with the 800 FSB. No RAID, no overclocking, just 4 devices on the EIDE channels and a floppy. Memory will be 512K DDR.

Is there any "gotchas" on doing a clean install of Win2K on this config?

Thanks in advance,

Kevin

If you have to use Win2k I suggest that you Disable Hyper Threading in your bios,Win2k doesnt support HT properly & can even slow down a system.

I highly suggest you use Win XP if you want to use & have the benefit of Hyperthreading.
