win2k and winXP shutdown problem

Just install winXP on a MSI K7T266 Pro2A motherboard with 1800+ XP. When I go to shutdown, computer will shutdown and restart. Even tried it with win2k. Computer won't turn off. I have to turn it off manually from the back swith after shutdown, but before it restart. Anyone has this problem. Not sure if it's the board, OS, or connection of front power button. Any help would be appreciated.

Their are a lot of reasons why XP will not shut down.

Roxio EZ-CD Creator.
Soundblaster Live drivers.
Having Adanced Power Management (APM) enabled.
Logitech Mouseware 8.6 or earlier.

To name a few.

Also, Windows may not be detecting the hardware correctly when installing.
Make sure that Windows is set to a STANDARD PC .
