Win2K and swapfile problems

Every time I boot up my computer, Win2K tells me that my swapfile is too small or nonexistant. I go into the settings to change it, but everytime I reboot, same problem. This happened to me before, after overclocking, but its happening now on a clean install of the OS on an un-overclocked PC. This is a P3-700 w/256 MB of RAM. Any help is appreciated - its pretty annoying.
