I find that when I install service pack 1 with Win2k that 3DMark2000 scores go to zero even though visually there is no difference in performance. I have all the latest drivers installed. Reinstalling the drivers after installing SP1 makes no difference. Has anyone else had a similar experience?

So what....how are your games running? Don't bother with 3DMark. At least don't bother with the score, it does make a decent stability test, but as a benchmark, it just sucks.

I agree 100% that as a benchmark 3DMark2000 is lacking. The stability is fine. I just thought it was strange that SP1 killed it. I did a fresh reinstall and added drivers and such step by step and it is SP1 that is the villan.

It is the way sp1 sets up the ACPI in W2K, if you go into control panels-system-hardware-device manager-computer and change the ACPI driver to standard pc you can veiw your scores properly again, but W2K will autodetect all your hardware on the re-start and ask you for the drivers again(no big deal).

Hope this helps. I will contact MadOnion and let them know what it is so they can track it down more easily.

If everything runs fine, don't worry about random-number-generator-called-3DMark's output...
