Every movie except realplayer movies make win2k reboot
any ideas on how to solve it? Win98 has no problems w/movies...

I have the latest drivers for all of them and currently using dx8 but the same thing happened w/dx7
 
Sounds like a problem with the overlay functionality of your video drivers. Try changing colour depths before playing movies (i.e. from 32-bit to 16-bit or vice versa). Other than that, I'm not quite sure what it could be.
